Norton Road is for Islanders who need safe, affordable homes — and we’re nearly there!
Because of the support we’ve already received, we’re 85% of the way to securing Norton Road. That means we are closer than ever to providing stable, affordable housing for people in our community who need it most.
We have until February 12 to close the final gap. If you’ve been waiting to give, now is the moment.
Building more affordable housing on Salt Spring Island will help:
• Women experiencing violence, many of whom lose housing as a result of abuse
• Children, whose safety and stability depend on secure homes
• Islanders who work here, but spend too much just trying to stay housed
• Young adults, navigating some of the highest rates of housing insecurity
• Seniors and people with disabilities, who face the greatest risk of becoming unhoused
• Children & workers who grew up on Salt Spring Island and need homes
Being 85% funded means this is no longer a distant vision. It’s within reach. These are people who could soon have a safe place to live.
