IWAV is excited to announce the launch of our new social enterprise: Grow For It Seeds!
Grow For It is a food gardening project that brings the resident community of our second-stage housing together to participate and learn all aspects of growing food and seed saving. The proceeds from the seed sales support the continuation of the program and to develop food security initiatives on site for residents to enjoy. Residents are women and children who have been impacted by gender-based violence.
We’ll be vending at Salt Spring’s Seedy Saturday on February 25th from 10am to 3pm at the Farmers’ Institute. Starting in March 2023, you’ll also be able to buy our seeds at the Transitions Thrift Store.
